J3 Parents and Racers
Let me introduce myself - My name is Steve Maynard and I've been with CMAC for
14 years coaching at the FIS level all the way to the Mity-mite level. As most
of you know I have taken over the CMAC J3 program from Tatum and John Phillips.
All the first year J3's know me as the co-director of the Mity-mite program last
year with Kelly McCann and for the 2nd year J3's Matt Hammond will be helping me
coach and run this program. I'm looking forward to working with all of you.
The first meeting for the J3 Program will be in Redmond at my house. Before the
meeting Alan and I will conduct the USSA Physical evaluation to see how fit all
of you are. I'm a big advocate of dry land training and getting in the best
shape for the winter, so I hope all of you have been very active.
At the meeting following testing I'll be going over the J3 program, Goal
setting, Race schedule, fitness, Parents involvement, rules to follow, equipment
and summer fun! I'll also be discussing with parents the difference between this
full-time program vs. the Prep Program. Parents and racers please bring
questions if you have any. Here is my contact information, location for testing
and my address for the J3 meeting:
