The program is offered to highly motivated, goal-oriented Mitey-Mite or Advanced Prep racers who want to supplement their weekend training with weekday gate training sessions at Snoqualmie Summit on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Training at Snoqualmie will begin the first week of January and continue through mid-March. Participants must be enrolled in a program in CMAC in order to take part.
Saturday MM Skills is an add-on for U12 skiers (10-11 as of January 1) who register for the Mighty Mite Race program. It runs on Saturdays for 10 weeks beginning in early January through early March. The goal is to improve overall skiing skills enabling kids to achieve higher levels of skiing ability. The focus will be on acquisition of measurable skills, which will be tested and evaluated throughout the program. Skills include: balance, turning shape, anatomical alignment, and black diamond slope proficiency.
The typical day will be mixed with directed free skiing with skill instruction combined with all mountain free skiing on many different conditions and terrain. On occasion the group may train some gates, but usually only the weekend prior to a race, otherwise the time will be spend on the mountain teaching, and learning the love of the sport.
